It's an Environmental Children's Museum and wildlife rescue center. They were having a Creepy Crawly Creature Feature. We could (but opted not to) touch tarantulas, cockroaches, stick bugs (I'm sure they have a more official name than that), and stink bugs. They had living scorpions and deadly spiders on display in little boxes. They roasted crickets with garlic and people ate them. They also cooked maggots and meal worms. We were not among the brave souls who took a taste. There were beautiful exotic birds and reptiles, fish and turtles. Caleb, James, and I touched a huge snake and we're told she was only a baby and is about 1/10 of the size she'll become. You'll see her in the pictures. Caleb got to look at live mosquito larvae in the microscope. Pretty gross little suckers. They also had the kids dip meal worms in paint and let the worms crawl along the paper to create a painting. It was a fun, educational outing and I'm sure we'll be back. Enjoy the photos.

In Spain?

Caleb has been begging to watch the Transformers movie. He has a few of the Transformer toys and his friends at school are really into it. It came on Netflix the other day and he asked if he could watch it. I told him he would have to wait until I could watch it with him cause it's not a kid movie. So yesterday after school we sat down to watch it. The story line was way over his head but he thought the robots were "AWESOME". It is rated PG-13 for mild language I think and maybe robot violence. The "sh" word was used and I said, "That's a bad word." Caleb said "huh? which one?" He didn't know what I was talking about.
"Well, I'm not going to say it 'cause it's bad." I said. "Nevermind, just watch the movie."
He quickly inquired "Is it bad because it takes the Lord's name in Spain?"
I smiled and asked "What?" Just to see if he'd say it again.
"Does it take the Lords name in Spain?"
I laughed and said, "No, that's a different bad word."

Kids Say...

Today Caleb said "Mom, you are so girlsome"
"What does that mean?" It calls to me. So after doing the necessary shopping in the other departments and after two trips to the restroom with my two boys we made our way to the shoes. I start in the size 8 aisle and never leave without checking the 7 1/2 and 9 aisles. Then I think I should check all the aisles since I've noticed that alot of shoes end up on the wrong aisle and I might find my size anywhere. Then I find a pair that I really like but not in my size so I scour the aisles once again in search of THAT pair in my size hoping to get lucky. Today I had success and came away with two pairs of shoes. Hooray! The reason for this story is to give you an idea of my thought process and to make the following story seem less crazy. Today I wore tennis shoes so I had to take off the sock and shoe on my left foot to try new ones on. I tossed the sock in the cart and kept the shoe on the ground so I could slip my foot in, between pairs. I continued in this manner, up and down the aisles as stated in the above story. Caleb noticed what I was doing and asked where my sock was. "In the cart." I said. He looked and said "No, it's not."
"Well, maybe I put it in my purse."
"Nope. Where is it?" he insisted.
I stopped my search for shoes and began to look for the sock. I couldn't find it.
"Uh oh," I said "Brother must have thrown it out of the cart."
We then went through the aisles once again, this time with our attention on the floor but came up empty handed. I have no idea what happened to that sock but I left Ross with my bare foot loosely tucked into my sweaty, unlaced tennis shoe.

Minus one sock but up two pairs of shoes. Very worth it. =)

Six years ago today Jeremy and I were married. The time has gone so quickly. One of my favorite things about being married to Jeremy is that he truly knows me better than anyone. Better than my parents, better than my brother or sister, better than my kids, better than my closest friends. He knows me so well that he can tell what I'm thinking before I say anything and can understand a look at first glance. We truly enjoy each others company and cherish our daily routines together. He is my best friend and I'm so lucky to love and be loved so much. It's hard to think that you can love your groom more than the day you are married but it really is only the beginning. I thank God for blessing our marriage and our family. I feel so honored to be Mrs. Jeremy Webster.

You want a what?

Yesterday Caleb said to me, "Mom, I want a nutrition at our house."
"You want a what?" I always feel a little relief when January finally comes. However, I truely enjoyed the holiday season. I love my family and dearest friends and I feel so blessed to share my life and the lives of my boys with each one of them. Kevin was home for a week at Christmas which always makes our Christmas complete. It's always hard to say goodbye though. We're holding our breath in hopes that he'll move west very soon. (Go west young man!) =) Julie is going to finish her last semester of Bible College in Spain. She leaves Feb.1st and I'm going to miss her. I'm excited that she has this opportunity. She will, without a doubt, get the bug and this will only be the beginning of her travels. However, I hope that one day our family can all live close to each other again. I'd settle for the same state. =) I'm excited to see what this new year brings. He didn't get a huge party like his older brother. I really didn't think I'd be the kind of Mom that does everything for the first child and then nothing for the rest. So I feel like I need to defend myself with all my excuses. Well, it's 6 days before Thanksgiving and I figured that it's a bit redundant to get the family all together for a celebration twice in one week. We have 4 birthdays in my family in November and it's just easier to celebrate them all together. We DID sing to James on his birthday and he got to have some carrot cake. He just ate the frosting. I took a few pictures to prove we celebrated so that when he is old enough to see that his brother got a party, he won't feel too left out.

Happy Birthday James!

Circus

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vbitGEEUnj8/Rvk29iKEnPI/AAAAAAAAAA8/9Y-pYHsJ5hU/s200/IMG_4088.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5114179282624879858" />
We were given last minute free tickets to the Circus at Arco Arena. We have to wake Caleb up around 7:00am, feed him breakfast, get dressed, etc. Today when I was trying to convince him to let me put product in his hair (which he hates), he said he can tell if he's hansome by laughing in the mirror. So after every pass through his hair with product he would turn and laugh in the mirror. Satisfied he said, "yup, handsome." He was very excited and not hesitant what so ever. The bell rang and he went to line up with his class on the blacktop. All the classes line up together and the whole school says the Flag salute together. After the older kids were dismissed, the kindergarteners lined up at the wall for pictures. Some of the kids were pretty upset but Caleb was great. After a few pictures, we said goodbye as the class took their first field trip to the bathroom!! I watched Caleb walking back to his classroom after their potty break and it looked like he was wiping a few tears out of his eyes. He must have realized that we were gone and he didn't know anyone. We went home to an unusually quiet house. The time went quickly and we were back in the car to go pick him up. He came walking out with a big smile and yelled "mommy" when he saw me coming. He was wearing a birthday crown with his name on it. He got to bring cupcakes since his birthday was yesterday. He had a great first day.

Prayer

This is how Caleb prayed last night at dinner:

"Dear Jesus, thank you for this day.
